Wedding bells often sets alarm bells ringing for both the would-be bride and groom's families as the planning for a wedding should be well-thought-out. Gone are the days when families of the soon-to-be-married couples had to organize a wedding by the sweat of their brow. Now we have wedding planners to do the job.
Wedding planners strategically plan everything: from mehandi to doli, decorations to catering, and venue to photography. They do not have a regular 9-5 job rather they also spend their weekends working. They have to maintain their calm as they deal with endless vendors while planning a wedding. Wedding planners have to understand the client's needs and work accordingly. They have to work efficiently even under budget constraints.
Most of the wedding planners are self-employed. However, taking up an event management course can help. There are some institutes that also offer one-year diploma courses in wedding planning. Moreover, the profession offers good income. Good networking, public relations and marketing strategies are required to get successful in the field.
